THYROID CANCER

Thyroid cancer develops when abnormal cells grow in the thyroid gland, a small, butterfly-shaped gland located at the front of the neck. This gland helps regulate metabolism, heart rate, and body temperature. Symptoms may include a lump in the neck, difficulty swallowing, hoarseness, or swollen lymph nodes.

Although thyroid cancer can affect anyone, many types are highly treatable, especially when detected early. Treatment may include surgery, radioactive iodine therapy, or other medications. Early detection, regular medical checkups, and awareness are important steps toward protecting your health.
