1 min read

Sepsis is a life-threatening medical emergency that occurs when the body has an extreme response to an infection, causing widespread inflammation and potentially damaging vital organs. It can develop from infections such as pneumonia, urinary tract infections, skin infections, or abdominal infections.

Warning signs may include fever or chills, rapid breathing, fast heart rate, confusion, extreme weakness, low blood pressure, or clammy skin. Sepsis can progress quickly, so recognizing the symptoms and seeking immediate medical attention is critical.
