BACTERIAL SINUSITIS
Bacterial sinusitis is an infection of the sinuses that can develop when bacteria become trapped in blocked or inflamed sinus passages. Symptoms may include facial pressure or pain, nasal congestion, thick yellow or green mucus, headache, cough, and sometimes fever. Unlike many viral sinus infections, bacterial sinusitis may require antibiotics when symptoms are severe, persistent, or worsen after initially improving.
For people living with disabilities or chronic health challenges, recognizing persistent sinus symptoms early can help prevent complications and support better overall health.
