INSOMNIA

Insomnia is a sleep disorder that makes it difficult to fall asleep, stay asleep, or wake up feeling rested. It can affect energy, concentration, mood, memory, and daily functioning. Stress, anxiety, chronic pain, medical conditions, medications, irregular sleep schedules, and lifestyle habits can all contribute to insomnia.

For people living with disabilities or chronic health challenges, poor sleep can sometimes make existing symptoms feel worse. Creating a consistent bedtime routine, limiting caffeine and screen time before bed, and addressing underlying causes with a healthcare professional may help improve sleep quality and overall well-being.
